Who are you to judge. What about all the good this teachings does. What about all the good things these teachers do. How do you expect to reach the world if you don’t ask for money. You don’t believe in the promises of God. You don’t believe in Miracles. That is not very Christian of you. Your putting God in a box. You not a very good Christian. Your not even really a Christian. What about unity. Didn’t Christ come to bring unity. You have a Jezebel Spirit. Your hindering the works of God. You don’t believe in faith. If the Word of Faith Movement was not from God,, it would not be prolific. What is wrong with wanting “Your Best Life NOW”, You’re just a heresy hunter. You are just a Sniper Christian. Your just a bloody Calvinist. Come not against the Man of God. We really like what your doing BUT. Your cause is Noble BUT. Your heaping judgment upon your head by judging. You don’t believe in prosperity. Your just jealous because you have not gotten your healing and financial blessings. Your just an old sour puss. What is your problem with God. You think God want us all to be in poverty. I myself was brought to a saving knowledge of Jesus as Lord in a similar type church. You don’t believe in the blessings of God. Your just casting hate nets. God works in mysterious ways. You have an antichrist Sprit. Didn’t Jesus tell us to just get along. Don’t throw stones, it is not very Christian like. God told me to tell you. I have a word of Knowledge from the Lord for you. Don’t make waves,, just ride them. Your just being difficult. Your not doing God any favors. But I was saved through one of these ministries and your denying the works of God. Your blaspheming the Holy Spirit. You’re a Modern day Pharisee. Why can‘t you be more loving. Stop being judgmental. We have seen and experienced the Miracles. We know all miracles are from God. Your not from God. Your just looking for something or someone to disapprove of. Your causing damage to the Body of Christ. Be advised NOT to come against God. God is doing a new thing and you are resisting him. God is against your religious Spirit. Your stuck in your religious tradition. We are not to judge. Why are you coming against this teacher of god. If it is not of God it will fail but if it is of God you can’t stop it. Jesus is more important than doctrine. Look at the fruit of these men. Satan is the accuser of the brethren. What goes around comes around. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Forgive and forget. Your ways are not the Lord’s ways. You cannot hope to understand God’s Divine Plan. You are not being a “team player”.

Honestly, I knew there was something that wasn’t right with the majority of WOF teaching. I left the church WOF church that is and went else where and eventually my ex husbands family got involved into the full blown occult. The way that the law of attraction was marketed to me was that it was like “Faith” so I opened up to and after some while later I started to realize that it was demonic and witchcraft. I often wondered about Rhema and the whole faith teaching if perhaps there was some goofy teaching that slipped in the door somehow.
Thanks for you website it has been a help to expose the unfruitful works of darkness.

Word of Faith needs to be investigated – 2016!! Now, they are subjecting our City of 70,000 to Drilling on their property. No regard for citizens with well water nor methane emissions. While the State is more than happy to help oil/gas industry; Word of Faith is there to help bring health & safety to an end for us. They are now starting a School of very dubious nature. End the reign of Word of Faith and take away their tax free exemptions….they are a BUSINESS….a Cult and are harming citizens in Southfield, Michigan. STOP the DRILLING!

I will pray for your depression as well as others here who has this. I suffer from depression but what I found that is working is seeking God non stop going hard as some would say. I cast down those thoughts that satan brings and bring them into captivity with God’s word. This is waging war in the Spirit. (2 Timothy 1:7) “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Also meditating on the word which is Christ, let this mind be in you that is also in Christ Jesus. As we submit and obey His word He will transform us more and more the shackles and bondage will begin to break HALLELUJAH…It’s a process but you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. (Isaiah 26:3) “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on You!” Also keep exposing the devil his time is almost up.. (2 Cor. 2) “You see, we are not like the many hucksters who preach for personal profit. We preach the word of God with sincerity and with Christ’s authority, knowing that God is watching us.” (1 Timothy 4:1) “The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.” Question, who are these demons working through? (2 Peter 2:3) “1 “But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. 2 Many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; 3 and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep”

Paula White is absolutely vile! She has created a huge path of destruction with her teachings, and embarrassing antics on the platform. Out of all the WOF preachers I believe she needs to be stopped and silenced the quickest. I have seen her do, and say things that are complexly anti-god, and anti-gospel, and does it all while asking for 4 different offerings in one service. She makes me sick to my stomach!

My biggest problem with this site is the attacks on specific pastors. I believe that should be removed entirely. If Pastor X teaches a doctrine which is anti-Biblical, post that doctrine, a summary of that doctrine, and then evaluate that doctrine.
R. B. Thieme, Jr. provided us with a good example of this. The charismatic movement is spiritually corrupt. I cannot recall Bob going after specific pastors in that movement. He dealt with the gift of tongues, what it was, what it wasn’t, and how it is not a gift for today.

I deal with depression allot too and I am so glad to hear you are better and this site helped you. I do believe sitting under false teaching will cause mental issues. That is one reason I am glad to not be charismatic anymore.

Wealth is a very relative concept. Pastor teachers live in a variety of circumstances. Conveniences known to some of the poorest pastor teachers were unknown to the very rich kings, David and Solomon.
Only one time did Jesus speak to a person’s wealth, and that actually had little to do with his wealth and more to do with his focus in life. If you have been under the ministry of R. B. Thieme, Jr., you know about the exegesis of Jesus encounter with the rich young ruler.
Jesus knew rich men; Solomon and David were quite rich as well.
I believe that it is a mistake to go after a pastor individually; or because you think he is too wealthy.

Well, I think that Joel Osteen… as he begins preaches SO WONDERFULLY. He says that HE IS who the Bible says he is!! OH YES!! AMEN!! And that Bible says he is a false teacher whose condemnation will not slumber… a messenger of satan disguised as an angel of light… a wolf in sheep’s clothing… oh that Bible says Joel Osteen is these things!!
And he says HE HAS what the Bible says he has!! Yes, it’s so true!! The Bible says he has a day appointed in which he shall be judged, he has the wrath of God abiding upon him in his unbelief in the true gospel and the true Jesus, and he has woe upon woe upon woe unto the scribes and Pharisees, and he has… and he has the profit of a man who has sought to gain the whole world but has lost his own soul.
Yes, Joel Osteen starts out so WONDERFULLY as he pronounces the truth of the Bible in what he is and has and all of these things.
(It’s just he doesn’t tell the truth about what the Bible says he is and has… yet… it’s SO TRUE that the Bible does TRULY DECLARE what HE IS and what HE HAS… and all these things!! It’s wonderful to hear Joel Osteen pronounce upon himself the truth of scripture to a reprobate unbeliever on his way to hell!! )

read gal 6:8, read it again in any bible, if you have the amplified bible, also go for it there. now read the original greek here http://biblehub.com/text/galatians/6-8.htm
the last part of the verse reads “but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.”, it refers to the eternal life ONLY.

although she frequently makes minor transpositions in her reading of scripture, this is the 1st time we catch her actually ADDING something which blatantly ‘justifies’ her ‘gospel’, which is not the gospel but a heresy.
i would urge you to download the video as it might be pulled off you tube by her organisation to cover up her lies.

Great eye Gabriel!!! She is clearly and deliberately adding to the Word of God to justify her “good life now” gospel, as you put it. I will download the video, edit it down to just the applicable portion and post about it. TY for letting me know about this flagrant manipulation of Gods Word by Meyers. And please let me know if you run across anything like this again. This will for sure post and might help someone. It might even help the last commenter here Leah to see Meyers and Osteen are fakes,, given that her Twitter page also says she follows Joyce Meyers on Facebook too.

i am humbled to have been used in this way by the Spirit of Christ.
the last thing any of us here should do is try and tag ourselves or others as no amount of ‘error’ in anyone abrogates the great commandment [mark 12:30-31].
we all have been called though to ‘search the scriptures’ [acts 17:11].
we will not be judged on hearsay, opinion or speculation, but on facts – these facts are the Words of God, not those of puny man.
joyce meyer is one of hundreds of thousands if not millions or billions of people to whom the reality of an all powerful, almighty, just and holy God to whom nothing but total submission is called for is NOT ACCEPTABLE! satan is their cheerleader and unless they repent they will ‘likewise perish’ [luke 13:3].
if we all would just focus on Christ and heed His call to ‘first seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness…’ [mat 6:33] we will have an everlasting ‘breakthrough’, not a pie-in-the-sky lie of satan or any false preacher and prophet on his pay-roll, but we will inherit that place not build by human hands [heb 9:11].
in order to get started on trying to figure out if someone is ‘bringing God down’ to our level and make him our partner [this is what joyce meyer calls God] take note of the following:

“What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.” Deuteronomy 12:32
nor shall we make things up outside that which He explicitly tells us in His Word – no speculation, no conjecture, no theory or hypotheses not solidly grounded in His truth as revealed to us in Scripture
“…not to think beyond what is written” 1 Corinthians 4:6 lest pride [of ‘special’ knowledge or revelation] overtake us.

Wow, don’t you have anything better to do than write this about a very persecuted TRUE follower of Jesus Christ? satan doesn’t waste his time persecuting his own….get it? Seriously, use your time to help someone else that’s poor or hurting and take on the humble nature of Christ by walking in the spirit. It’s the Holy Spirit of Truth that Jesus told us is our teacher; it is He that teaches us about the real truth about false preachers/teachers. I’m not a Joel Osteen follower nor am I connected with his ministry, but forget him because he’s harming no one. God’s call on his life is to bring hope to the hopeless and what he teaches is rooted in scripture. The old Testament is still valid today as Jesus said in the NT. Curses & Blessings are still around today of course. Seriously, if you are truly concerned about people following the paths of true deception then teach others not to follow the real problem christian cults like these: Unity Church of Christianity, The Mormon Church Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, The Church of Scientology , The Christian Scientist Church, etc. Study these & the many others as this is where true False doctrine lies, not with Joel Osteen! I know you won’t post this on your blog because you want everyone to think you’re right. But that’s fine. Remember that Jesus LOVED the tax collector, Matthew much more than the teachers of the law, the religious Pharisees….the so called ‘experts on the true messiah’. They were wrong about Jesus and you are wrong about Joel Osteen.

Hello Leah, I almost did not accept your comment because it is full of emoting and no substance. You claim your not be a follower of Osteend but then claim God has a call on his life to bring hope to the hopeless. How would you know that for sure if you are not a follower of Osteen and familiar with his work or message? And why, may I ask, does your Twitter page say your a Facebook follower of Osteens, if your allegedly not a follower of his?
You said I am wrong about Joel Osteen but you gave no example of anything I have said, or anything posted on this blog written by others, that is wrong. You also said what Joel Otseen teaches is rooted in scripture, so I thought I would accept your comment and give you a chance to prove Otseens teaching or point out where anything written about him on this blog is wrong.

The sad part about Creflo Dollar and his outlandish request is people will give out of their desperate need to fund this, and then wonder why they get no return on their offering. I am deeply disturbed by the ‘money cometh ministry’, it has given me a serious disdain for these teachings and anything to do with wealth.
That is why anytime I hear someone say, “God told me” every red flag on the inside of me goes up!
God help those people see that they are getting ripped off in the name of God!

Great site. Very informative and very accurate reporting without bias. Have you ever looked into the faith healing claimed by a man by the name of “John of GOD” in Brazil. Just his name ought do speak volumes. Of course all the ‘healing’ he does, he humbly claims is done by ‘GOD’ ( he once claimed Jesus does the healing, but now says God can be Jesus, Buddha or any other) Unbelievable!! They claim their ‘Faith’ is what heals. He also has a woman who claims to be a healer and at the same time makes and distributes porn. Doesn’t get more bizarre.

Some do, I am concentric cessationist and believe those things may be used in evangelism in under-developed and informed nations. But I don’t think it is normative today. Our blogger Victor is a string reformed charismatic though,, but he seen what WoF did in his home country India and epaks againts it because of that.

It’s about being in the WoF trap and needing to break free from the WoF as opposed to getting a WoF “breakthrough”. I think it makes that points very well. no my friend, i am free in Christ for all eternity. i know wof misuses jes 55:11, but it is Christ speaking, not man – the same Christ who, three verses before said “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” clearly indicating man’s infinitely inferior position – and as such clearly exposing wof for that which it is, a heresy [2Tim 4:3 “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;”]
i pray that, even for all those on death row in the wof movement, they will turn to Christ, who has promised in Jer 29:13 “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” – NOT seek themselves…

Damon,
I read your blog post today about “marks of a cult”. I cried and was so very heavy hearted over it. I lived that life for so long and now God is just starting to help me realize that I need to write about it so others can be set free. Oh my word, you gave me even more understanding about the true depths of darkness that its rooted in. I use a notebook as I read to write down things that are important so I remember them and can help people gain more understand as I gain it. Im so glad you took the time to write. Im so saddened over this all, but I feel its now my time to turn around and rescue others who are dying inside the cult from hell.
