‘Don’t drink the Kool Aid’

My son and I attended a Benny Hinn crusade. My son had a short time to live.  Born paralyzed, ventilator dependent, he was barely clinging to life.  But he was alert.  He wanted to play like other kids and I could feel his frustration.  My heart was broken, but my faith in God was soaring. We were going to a Benny Hinn meeting! We walked in with two or three hundred other wheelchair bound people, of different ages,  with their families.  There was excitement in the air, being full of faith and expectation to see the miracles we’d only heard about.  We were led to the last row in the back, away from the view of the cameras.   We attended seven more crusades with Hinn just like this one and with other leaders in the Word of Faith.  We never saw one person healed, although claims were made that some got up from their wheelchairs, there was not one.   One day, 16 years later, I was praying and felt angels rejoicing in heaven.  3 days later, my son’s heart stopped and he entered heaven.   Two years later, our Word of Faith Pastor passed away from cancer.  We learned from all this that we are saved by grace, not our by works or the words of faith.  Praying for Healing for the Word of Faith Church.   www.myspace.com/daughterofjerusalem
