THE PURPOSE of this blog

THE PURPOSE of this blog

I was in the Pentecostal/Charismatic movement for approx. 18 years before God used my love for apologetics to lead me to an understanding that the things I thought were biblical were not in the Bible at all. There were a few books that helped me finally break away from the madness and they were “Charismatic Chaos” by John MacArthur and “Christianity in Crisis” and “Counterfeit Revival” by Hank Hanegraaff. When you begin to do a serious study of biblical doctrine, you will find that many of the crazy beliefs and ‘moves of God’ are not even in the Bible. I want this blog to be a help and a light to those who have came out and are coming out of cultic Charismania. Tell me your testimony, your heartache, your illumination of God’s word that led you out. If you have questions that you have asked your church leadership about and they have told you in their way to not question ‘their’ authority (“touch not god’s anointed…”[how many times did I hear that]) or told you that you have a ‘spirit of religion'(I heard that just about as many times), then this is the place to question and ask so that we will find the truth in God’s word. It’s time to end the nightmare of doubt and find the blessed peace and assurance in Jesus. I am just starting this blog so please be patient with me. I will address the cultic (yes, cultic) teachings of the WOF and Signs and Wonders movement, etc. We will even do studies on real theology. God bless.
