I have spent the last few weeks listening to piles of Cd’s by R.C. Sproul, John Piper, James McDonald and reading books by Charles Spurgeon, Jonathan Edwards and John Calvin. I am now more convinced than ever that the Word of Faith is a dangerous form of humanism that has spread like cancer in the church.
It is humanistic in that it exalts man and lowers God. It puts man in control and undermines God. Or it tries to. The Word of Faith creates greed and selfishness in Christians. It turns their views of God, the Word and people completely inward.
The Word of Faith is the most dangerous cult in the world because it deceives well meaning Christians pulling them in to humanism and works.
God has set my family free. We are no longer in fear and bondage. We are free to trust God. We use to trust in faith. We use to trust in so called spiritual laws. We use to live by our confessions and we thought that we were in control of everything ourselves through proper confessions. We truly were deceived into thinking that we could control circumstances with our words. We thought we were gods.
The Word of Faith Movement began in the Garden of Eden when Satan told Eve that she could become like God. That is what the Word of Faith Movement teaches. It teaches that we are God and that we are in control.
Read or listen to Brother Hagin’s vision of Jesus not being able to control the devil. What that vision does is elevate man over Christ’s ability and dominion.
Listen to Brother Hagin’s Believer’s Authority series. It is full of teaching that we are in control of the world and that poor old God is left out in the rain powerless.
How refreshing it has been to read the works of Spurgeon and Calvin and Edwards. Men who knew how great God is. How blessed it is to read the words of Martin Luther.
I am telling you, as a former Word of Faith pastor and teacher, that the Word of Faith God and the God of the Bible are not the same. The Word of Faith Jesus and the Jesus of the Bible are not the same.
The Word of Faith satanically twist scriptures out of context time after time to fit its humanistic doctrines. The Word of Faith Movement is man’s way of being Lord of his own life.
Read Brother Hagin’s book entitled “How to write your own ticket with God” and compare it with Scripture. Read Brother Hagin’s book entitled “I believe in Visions” and then read the Word of God.
I am so happy to be free. God is in control of my life, and not my words! I believe in the Divine Decrees of God. I believe that God is the Sovereign Almighty and that He is in total control.
People that leave the Word of Faith Cult and discover Reformed Theology are shocked and amazed that they could have ever fallen for such satanic deception. I chat with ex-Word of Faith people all the time that are more excited about their relationship with God than they ever had been before at any time. They feel free and relieved.
Last night I found myself in Dr. Flayhart’s classroom at Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church. One of my readers had invited my family to hear him speak. His lesson was so much better than the teaching that I had been under in Bible School. How refreshing it is!
If you know people that are trapped in the Word of Faith Movement, then you need to pray for them. Pray that God will open their eyes. They are delusional. They are in a legalistic world of fear, manipulation and bondage. Refer them to my web site and to the links that are listed here. Truth is available. The Truth will set them free.

THE WORD on The Word of Faith (a GroupBlog) 
While in WOF, I never thought that I was God, but I guess when you are commanding things to happen on your behalf, that really does put you on the same level as God or maybe even self exalts you above God. The part about the devil in the Garden of Eden really clears that up!

Alright now, if you’re going to be visiting around, you’d better come visit with us at Brookhills too!
He teaches the same series at night at 6:00, that he teaches in the morning services. When he first came to BH there was not a night service, so he began reteaching the same thing at night for those who worked on Sunday mornings, or who helped in children’s departments or taught small groups. So whether you come in the morning or the evening, you get the same service – music and all.
