WHY WE teach AGAINST the Word of Faith!!!!!!!
THIS TOP POST IS A STICKEY POST AND WILL STAY AT THE TOP OF THE BLOG TO HELP INFORM VISITORS!!!
I agree with everything that Piper said here. But I wished he would have addressed the question in another way. Or maybe the question should have been asked in another way. Being,, “is there people who have believed in the prosperity Gospel; that have not believed the gospel of 1Corintians 15; 1-4,, and if so; are they saved?”
I believe Jesus has promised that He we remain faithful, even if we are not. But if we deny Him, He will deny us. So therefore it follows that if it is indeed a fact that the prosperity gospel is another gospel (and not the second half of the gospel as WoF’ers proclaim) and people who have believed the gospel of the grace of God through faith in Jesus start believing in things that are not truth. Jesus will be faithful for he cannot deny himself. BUT my concern is this,,,,,
Most people who become WoF are coming out of the denominations (including mainline and Pentecostal/charismatic denoms), so to me,,, their salvation is not in doubt. BUT what of those that are not previously saved? Are they being taught the salvation message clearly. Are they coming to Jesus to be saved,,, or to be “Prosperous”. Are they coming for atonement and remission of sin through propitiation, or are they coming for gain assuming Godliness is a means of gain?
My relative said that “when she was a baptist,, all she had was the salvation message and a giving plate.” Inferring that all baptist preach is salvation. I would say that salvation is presented in three tenses in the bible,, so there is much to be preached on including justification, sanctification and our future glorification. And that baptist preach on allot of other issues. I personally wish some baptist preachers focused as much on soteriology as they do eschatology. BUT I have never heard any WoF’er preach a straight up salvation message.
Case is point,,, at the end of Joel Osteens sermons,, he says “we would like to let people take the opportunity to make Jesus your Lord and Savior of your life” (my paraphrase, maybe he just says savior)
Can someone show me where Joel had preached a salvation message and told anyone not only how to get saved,,, but why we need to get saved in the first place?
And since Joel readily admits that he does not like to use the word sin. How do people know they even need to get saved. And how do they know to walk in sanctification and not sin. I am not a Lordship Salvation proponent, but there has to be some change at some time. Even if we backslide or become carnal again,, there should be some change in our life concerning sin. We should start hating sin.
Does the WoF teach this? And does the WoF teach the saving gospel? Or is the gospel of salvation overshadowed by the gospel of propserity?
Another 3 month span of time has elapsed, it is time to get some blood drawn and check my PSA level once again. The anxiety level is high and waiting for the results adds to the stress of the moment. The roller coaster ride of stage 4 prostate cancer is in full effect. It seems lately that I have been getting very tired in the evening and the hot flashes are becoming more intolerable which are both side effects of the medicine. It has been a full 3 years now since I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and sometimes I get emotionally low, but that’s when I thank the Lord Jesus for keeping me alive another day. My days are filled with highs and lows, studying the Bible daily, working out in the gym and being with my family are the highs. The lows come from having too much time on my hands and thinking about when will be the next curve ball that prostate cancer will throw at me.
The amazing thing about this whole process is that the cancer is in remission and that the lupron has arrested the spread of cancer to my bones and organs for now. I praise the Lord Jesus for extending and sparing my life. My oncologist has told me that most people die within 2 years of being diagnosed. Why was I spared? To be honest I don’t know. I do know that God is Sovereign and that He has mercy on whom He has mercy on. With that being said I think of Farah Fawcett who was diagnosed the same time as I and now has passed on. She was such an inspiration to me and went through all the treatment with such grace for the amount pain that she experienced. Most of my problems seem minor to what others have endured, and really most of mine are side effects and not from the cancer.
So where am I in this battle against prostate cancer, well my PSA came back and it went up a little 0.38 from 0.21. I will have to go back in 6 weeks and get another PSA test. The oncologist is not that concerned as long as the PSA stays under 1, my survival is looking better and better as each day goes by. If I am still in remission by year 5, I can probably stop treatment and see if my PSA rises. All throughout I always expected the worst scenario because of the seriousness of the cancer, right now I have a fighting chance to make it and with Jesus help I know I will.
This thursday July 30, 2009 the Collier County FL School Board will be voting on whether to allow a pro homosexual course to be included in its sexual education curriculum. The word has gone out to all the Churches in the area to show up and voice opposition to this indoctrination of the children K-12. I will be there to voice my opposition as well as hundreds of people from my Church. Sometimes Christians just throw up their hands in frustration and quit or just bury their head in the sand. Saying maybe it will go away, well I am here to say it won’t go away and we must draw a line in the sand and get active. As Christians are we supposed to stand idly by and let the ungodly people run roughshod over us and future generations ? The answer to that question is absolutely no, for years most Christians have been apathetic about actively pursing the cultural issues and the cultural war.
Look at what’s happened to this country, we are all to blame for letting the progressives set the agenda when it comes to abortion, prayer in schools, gay rights. Christians have gone into their shell, playing church but not being the Church. It is time to stand up and let your voice be heard, before the fascist’s take away your voice all together. And don’t think that those in charge of this government today are not thinking about doing that as well. If the Bible is made illegal like it was in the Soviet Union, and the way it is today in Communist China, church services will go underground and so will our freedom slip away if we let it. Whether we win or lose we must not wimp out, but stand up for what we believe in and not back down but fight for what is right
Over the past 30 years the homosexual agenda has been been somewhat hidden in the closet, denied, or lied about and kept under a rock. Now the agenda of the Gay and Lesbian activists is totally clear and very obvious which is to tear down and destroy the very fabric which holds society together and that is the institution of traditional marriage. How did gay rights find its way to the forefront of our nation’s policy makers and what are the consequences of religious intolerance as portrayed in the proposed “Hate Crimes” bill.
The so-called gay rights movement, found its way to this nation through the matrix of secular and ungodly lawmakers and its willing accomplices the Federal Court system. By using the same pathway as the 60’s civil rights used, and by declaring that gay sand lesbians were a race of people they found a way to become a protected class. Now I ask you how can someone’s sexual deviation be even considered for a class status or a race of people. In the Book of Genesis chapter 19 vs 24 God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for the sin of homosexuality plain and simple. Homosexuality is a sin and a wicked degrading sin as well which will lead its participants into the pit of Hell for all eternity. This act is pure wickedness and immoral, not some glorified gay right as stated its vocal arrogant supporters who are rebellion against God Almighty.
The gay drive for public approval of their alternative lifestyle began in the early 1970’s with efforts to portray homosexuality and its deviant sexual practices as a valid, healthy and equally acceptable way of life. Gay activists were demanding even then that public school sex education courses taught by gays should present homosexuality as a healthy alternative. (Time, September 8,1975) There has been an emotional manipulation of the American public. Firstly ordinary citizens have been made to feel guilty, by a constant barrage of accusations, that they are bigoted and homophobic for having seen their homosexual lifestyle as antagonistic to their basically Judeo- Christian value system. Secondly the gay militants through their acts of violence, plainly intimidate average Americans into acceptance of their deviant homosexual lifestyle.(Kinsey, Sex, and Fraud,103) I have a word for the militant gay activists, I will not be intimidated. I will continue to stand up and speak out against the sin of homosexuality not mater what type of hate speech law is passed.
Homosexuality is a learned behavior, people are not born that way as some sympathizers say. Alfred Kinsey the father of sexual programming in the public school system and SEICUS espoused that children can enjoy and benefit from sexual interaction with adults. Kinsey’s grand scheme is almost realized through establishing homosexuality as normal behavior. By promoting sexual promiscuity blurring the lines where pedophilia is concerned. Through attacking religion to undermine the Judeo-Christian concept of sin and eliminate the distinction between right and wrong. Lobbying the Judicial system to reform sex laws so that aberrant sexual behavior is not considered criminal. To redefine Family to break the hertosexual model of nuclear family with a mother and a father.
You can be delivered from the homosexual lifestyle by repenting from sin, believing in Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. And you will not be condemned to Hell for all Eternity. Read the Bible, join a Bible believing Church, go to Bible study and give Jesus the praise for deliverance from a perverse and sinful lifestyle.
What I see happening in the Charismatic World is more of the same old stuff. Some Christians just don’t seem to get it, and are still looking for the next Great Revival of Signs and Wonders. You would think that with all the information out there about Todd Bentley’s false healing revival in Lakeland Fl that people would come to their senses and have some discernment. But no, the Signs and Wonder chasers are still out there in full force, looking to be deceived by the next “Anointed Preacher” or New Doctrine. It seems that itching ears have to be itched over, and over, and over again. As II Timothy 4 vs 3 states that:“For the time will come when they will not endure sound Doctrine”. If only Christians would be able to discern the times we live in, they would understand the time that II Timothy speaks about is the present age we live in. Not in some future time to come , but right in the here and now.
This is a right now word, how many times have I heard that only to find out that the TV preacher was trying to sell some of that right now word for a special price of only $19.99. Benny Hinn’s miracle crusades are still drawing huge crowds with people desperately seeking Signs and Wonders only to be crushed when their guaranteed miracle does not happen.
Morris Cerullo is still hawking his how to pray books and special prayer Bibles along with next crusade of whatever. Paul Crouch and Richard Roberts are still begging the viewer to send in their seed faith gift and their miracle will come. How about some miracle anointing oil from Jerusalem as sold by the Elijah List.
Even Perry Stone has veered off course and will be interviewing next week someone who went to heaven and spoke with their relatives. Now that is necromancy and spiritualism which is specifically forbidden by the Bible. He went on to say that the person had a near death experience, and came back to share what happened. Even my daughter recognized that speaking to the dead was forbidden by God. I guess he had to fill in time and figured the way to boost ratings was to show something that bordered on the bizarre. Perry’s teachings now have more of a Kabbalah influence than that of the Bible. Does anybody see a pattern here, there is really something wrong with this picture. As Christians are we really that gullible, the answer unfortunately is an astounding yes. But we can change that by going back to sound teaching and doctrine. Start by reading some of the classic Christian sermons by preachers such as EM Bounds, Charles Spurgeon, Harry Ironside, or DL Moody maybe then we can get back on the right path obeying God rather than man.
Is there such a thing as being drunk in the Spirit ? Slain in the Spirit or Holy Laughter. In my many years of being a charismatic of which I am a now a recovering charismatic. It sounds similar to a being a recovering alcoholic and in essence it is. The emotional experience in most charismatic services is what becomes top priority. Most charismatics mistake the feeling generated by the music minister leading the praise and worship during the service as Holy Spirit ordained. The exhilarating feeling that is felt is mistakenly called the move of the Holy Spirit. The preaching of the Word becomes an afterthought and takes a back seat to the music. I was in one service where a woman fell out and landed right on my left arm which was a good thing because if my arm was not there she would have hit her head on the metal chair. She would have been in considerable pain, sometimes you just don’t know what is going on with people.
Now we get down to the heart of the matter, what is being drunk in the Spirit, Slain in the Spirit or Holy Laughter. As Kenneth Hagin said many times over drunk again. I looked in many Bibles including many Translations and never did see the Apostles ever mention that being drunk in the Spirit was a manifestation of the Spirit. I just could not find any substantiation for this doctrine. The only people who said that the Apostles were drunk on the day of Pentecost were the mockers( Acts 2 vs 3). So if the mockers were saying the Apostles were drunk; and Kenneth Hagin also said that he drunk and stumbled around acting like a drunk. There is only one conclusion that can be reached and that is Kenneth Hagin and the mockers in Acts 2 were of the same mind. Kenneth Hagin by saying he was drunk in the Spirit was actually mocking the Holy Spirit. Here is a short video clip of Kenneth Hagin and Ken Copeland in what is called Pentecostal Bedlam.
There are people falling, laughing and running all over the place. The scene is absolutely sad and chaotic, the Holy Spirit was never and I mean never in this mess. There was a spirit there a false spirit, a demonic spirit, an unclean spirit masquerading as the Holy Spirit. God is not the author of confusion but the devil and he is the father of lies. The people in this clip have given themselves over completely to the influence of Satan. They are under a delusion and are completely apostate. Peter replied to the mockers in the book of Acts 2 vs 15 “For these men are not drunk as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day” which is 9 AM.
According to an article by Biblical Discernment Ministries that :
Hagin cited Acts chapter 2 in an attempt to prove that the Apostles were drunk in the Spirit on the day of Pentecost. This is nonsense. Those who said the disciples were “full of new wine” were the mockers who wanted to debunk the miracle of tongues which was occurring (Acts 2:13). The mockers did not say the disciples were drunken because they were staggering about and slurred in speech and falling to the ground, but because of the many languages which were used to preach the Gospel that day and because they wanted to slander the servants of Christ. In his reply to these mockers, PETER PLAINLY SAID THEY WERE NOT DRUNKEN (Acts 2:15). In Ephesians 5:18, Paul CONTRASTS drunkenness with the filling of the Spirit. The drunk is not in control of himself, but is under the power of a foreign substance. In contrast, the Spirit-filled Christian is entirely in control of himself under the direction of the Holy Spirit. There is absolutely no case in the New Testament of the Lord Jesus Christ or the Apostles or early Christians staggering about in a drunken stupor, unable to attend to necessary duties, as those in the laughing revival are experiencing. THE CHRISTIAN IS COMMANDED TO BE SOBER AT ALL TIMES (1 Thess. 5:6,8; 1 Tim. 3:2,11; Titus 1:8; 2:2,4,6; 1 Pet. 1:13; 4:7; 5:8).
If for no other reason, one should reject Hagin on this basis alone: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8).
The only example of “spiritual drunkenness” in the Bible is in the prophets, referring to God’s judgment upon sin and apostasy (Isa. 29:9-14; Jer. 51:37-40). These prophecies sound a solemn warning to the Laughing Revival crowd. They have rejected the sound teaching of the Bible; they have refused to be sober and vigilant; they have mocked careful Biblical discernment; they have exalted experience over doctrine; they have gone awhoring after feelings and “signs and wonders”; and they have been blinded by demonic delusions. God warns that those who refuse to obey the truth will be blinded by lying wonders (2 Thess. 2:9-12).
Throughout the rest of Hagin’s sermon, various people were laughing hysterically, making it difficult to follow his message. The service could best be characterized by confusion. It ended like it began, with a rock concert disguised as a worship service.
Wow, it has been an amazing past two weeks. First of all since I have started speaking the truth about about the false teaching Kenneth Hagin and Word of Faith. My wife’s cousin eliminated me from her facebook friends list. I for one was not shocked for I am no stranger to controversies. But I am amazed at how brainwashed people are today by the false teaching that has been circulating through the Churches in Charismania. The Bible in Isaiah 1 vs 18 calls to come now and let us to reason together. What I see happening today in the Charismatic World is a complete shutting down of any dialogue of reasoning.
There is a complete split coming , if it is not already here between Orthodox Christianity and the signs/ wonders crowd. Between studying the Bible and those seeking Spiritual experiences. Between the lukewarm seeker friendly and those that will stand for the True Gospel of Christ calling sin, sin. Between the false prophets, who prophesy lies in the name of the Lord and those who call for repentance and a turning back to the Lord before the Judgement of God falls on America. Between those who call for Restoration and what is truly needed Reformation.
The Bible says in II Timothy 4 vs 3 &4 “For the time will come when they(Christians) will not endure sound Doctrine; but they after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears”. The sign that we are now seeing by the proliferation of all the false teachers, false prophets is God’s Judgement on the Church for it must begin in the House of God first.( 1st Peter 4 vs 17 & 18. Look at Joel Osteen, Joyce Myers, “Positive” and“Happy Gospel” and compare it to the true teachings of Jesus in the Gospels there is a big difference. Paul Washer has spoken clearly about this subject as well.
Do we need to hear from the false prophets like Kim Clement, Paul Cain, Rick Joyner, and the like to know what is going on in the world today. Wake up Christians !!!! Wake up people!!!!!!!!!! Read your Bible and understand the signs of the times, Jesus said as it was in the days of Noah so shall it be at the coming of the Son of Man (Mathew 24 vs 37 & 38)
The time is right for reformation, to turn from these false teachers, repent and understand that the Church will not subdue all nations for Christ as Kingdom Now and Manifest Sons of God teaches. But Jesus will rapture for his Church first, then the 7 year Tribulation period, and at the end of the Great Tribulation Jesus comes back again at the battle of Armageddon. Just as the Bible says in the Book of Revelation!!!!!!!
A Southern Baptist pastor is urging LifeWay Christian Bookstores to remove a number of books from its shelves that he believes undermine key Christian doctrines.
Channing Kilgore, associate pastor of South Whitwell Baptist Church in Tennessee, introduced a motion at the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) annual meeting last month that called for LifeWay to remove books by teachers T.D. Jakes and John Hagee, any Catholic Bibles, 90 Minutes in Heaven, and The Shack.
SBC president Johnny Hunt ruled Kilgore’s motion was not in order because it would have asked the convention to act like trustees. Kilgore says the books he wants removed from LifeWay stores are “contrary to the gospel” and the 2008 Baptist Faith and Message statement.
“For example, in The Shack, it’s very unclear and muddled in a lot of its views on the Trinity, the role and person and work of Christ, and the way of salvation,” Kilgore believes. “And in regards to T.D. Jakes, he will not come out and use classic, orthodox language in regards to the Trinity – and that is a cornerstone doctrine of Christianity.”
Kilgore notes that in 2005, LifeWay president Thom Rainer said that “LifeWay will not be a business, but a ministry to the church.” However, Kilgore contends LifeWay is not ministering to the church by selling the books of “word of faith” teachers and authors who deny the Trinity.
I’ve questioned the validity of “child preachers” for some time – especially since they often mimic poor “preaching and teaching” that they’ve seen in their lives. Now, we see a clear example of guardians pimping a child preacher from birth – essentially grooming a golden goose that will lay golden eggs for them for some time. May God have mercy on this debacle.
I was once asked this question in a MSN Christian debate room,,, “”there are 34,000+ different Christian denominations today. Who is to say which churches constitute the congregations of ‘true Christians’?”
The misconception perpetuated by the questionnaire is that Christianity is a fractured belief system and their is nothing but divisions among Christians. The misconception in its most basic sense says that Denominations, Sects and creeds are a bad thing, NOT OF GOD and should be avoided because there is no unity among Christians. BUT MY FRIENDS,,, this is just absurd.
THIS IS 180 DEGREES OFF. The bible says 1Co 11:19 (ASV) For there must be also factions among you, that they that are approved may be made manifest among you. And while Jesus did say,,,,, Joh 17:11b Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. He did say that the Unity he desired was in Him,,,, Joh 17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. There can be no unity apart from truth and the True biblical Jesus.
Word of Faith’ers, Charismatics and all Christian cults usually take this passage out of context to say that denominations are bad. 1Co 1:10-13 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?
But the thing that anti-denominationalist do not want to see is that all these groups where united in Jesus, His teachings and the teachings of the Apostles. These where not denominations or sects because there was only one Christian church until the Eastern Orthodox Church split from what we now call the Roman Catholic Church in 1054. They where boasting one over another about who had fathered or discipled them in the faith. While it was childish and carnal behavior, this passage does not support the assertion that there should be no divisions among the church. 1Co 11:19 (ASV) For there must be also factions among you, that they that are approved may be made manifest among you.
Indeed God says Eph 4:4-6 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. BUT He says there are many parts to the body 1Co 12:12-14 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many.
If you have studied the Word of Faith Movement, or the Pentecostal and Charismatic Movements, you will see that they have a disdain for denominationalism and creeds. They are also very anti-intellectual! Instead of studying to show thyself approved,,, they opt for more esoteric forms of learning such as,,, God’s Spirit told me, and,, Gods Spirit taught me. BUT Many time what “the Spirit” tells them contradicts that which the Spirit has already told them in His written revelation. This is how heresy runs rampant among these groups, because they are anti-intellectual, anti-denominational and anti-Creedal. AND MY FRIENDS,, THIS IS THE SAME FOUNDATION ALL CHRISTIAN PSEUDO CULTS ARE BUILT UPON
Lets look at Mormonism’s Joseph Smith’s first vision to prove the point.
Joseph Smith History 1:18-20: “My object in going to inquire of the Lord was to know which of all the sects was right, that I might know which to join. No sooner, therefore, did I get possession of myself, so as to be able to speak, than I asked the Personages who stood above me in the light, which of all the sects was right (for at this time it had never entered into my heart that all were wrong)—and which I should join.”
“I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: “they draw• near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof.” He again forbade me to join with any of them;…“
Mormons, all other cults, Word of Faither’s, Pentecostals and Charismatics have a few other things in common. They believe that mainline Christianity has apostatized and needs to be restored to it’s previous doctrine and practice.
The key principles of the Restoration Movement and the Restorationist are,
1. Christianity should not be divided, Christ intended the creation of one church.
2. Creeds divide, but Christians should be able to find agreement by standing on the Bible itself (from which they believe all creeds are but human expansions or constrictions) instead of on the opinions of people about the Bible.
3. Ecclesiastical traditions divide, but Christians should be able to find common ground by following the practice (as best as it can be determined) of the early church.
4.Names of human origin divide, but Christians should be able to find common ground by using biblical names for the church (i.e., “Christian Church,” “Church of God” or “Church of Christ” as opposed to “Methodist” or “Lutheran”, etc.). It is in this vein that conservative members of the Churches of Christ object to the phrase “Stone-Campbell Movement.” (1)
DOES THIS SOUND LIKE THE WORD OF FAITH, PENTECOSTAL AND CHARISMATIC MOVEMENTS TO YOU?
Listen to these silly mottos from the “Restoration Movement” that was used by Mormons, The church of Christ cult, Jehovah’s Witness and all other cults that came from the restoration movement. And you will find that many Word of Faither’s, Pentecostals and Charismatics use the same ideas to perpetuate the idea that denominations and creeds are bad. BUT IS THIS SO???
Many who make such claims are totally ignorant of Christian Church History and why denominations call themselves by denominational names. BUT some deliberately perpetuate these misconceptions to foster their preconceptions
I was listening to this sermon called Why are Christians divided into so many denominations? It was the best out of two sermons on the topic of denominations that I listened to. In it Pastor Howe quoted CS. Lewis from his classic Christian book “Mere Christianity:,, in which Lewis explains Denominations better than I ever could. So here is his quote.
C.S. Lewis – Preface to Mere Christianity.- “I hope no reader will suppose the ‘mere’ Christianity is here put forward as an alternative to the creeds of the existing communions – as if a man could adopt it in preference to Congregationalism or Greek Orthodoxy or anything else. It is more like a hall out of which doors open into several rooms. If I can bring anyone into that hall I shall have done what I attempted. But it is in the rooms, not the hall, that there are fires and chairs and meals. The hall is a place to wait in, a place from which to try the various doors, not a place to live in…When you have reached your own room, be kind to those who have chosen different doors and to those who are still in the hall.”
Lewis describes the denominations and creeds of the church to be a good thing.
Mere Christianity is a Pseudonym for Essential Christian doctrine. Lewis is saying that all true Christian churches agree on the essentials of the faith. And that they differ only in non essential matters. This is very true. Denominations do not divide over essential doctrine,, they are unified in them. Creeds are called confessions because denominations, while divided on non essential issues, openly tell people what they believe and practice up front. UNLIKE THE WORD OF FAITH, PENTECOSTAL AND CHARISMATIC MOVEMENTS.
Don’t buy into the anti-denominational rhetoric and propaganda of these groups. Orthodox Mainline Christianity is United within Diversity.
During the past 14 years I had 11 surgeries, yes that is right 11 surgeries. Talk about being in the Lord’s Boot Camp I was there, but I feel that the 11 surgeries prepared me for what was to come in 2006 which was being diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer. It is truly amazing to look back at how I was able to make it through all those surgeries. I know that the only way I made it was through was with the Lord Jesus help. The Scripture verse from the Bible that kept me strong is:” I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Philippians Chapter 4 verse 13. It never started out as 11 surgeries, it started with one surgery and ended with eleven. Here is the list: 5 foot reconstruction surgeries, 3 knee replacements, 1 right shoulder joint replacement, 1 right hip replacement and 1 back surgery which was done in february of 2009.
This is the Lord’s boot camp there was no other way for me to face my health problems but straight on, my back was against the wall and there were no other options. The pain was too great, and the quality of life was diminishing. I knew from reading my Bible in the Book of Daniel where the the 3 Jewish boys Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego were thrown into the fiery furnace by King Nebuchadnezzar because they refused to bow down and worship the image of the king. The three Jewish boys knew that their God was able to deliver them even if they had to go into the furnace and God would deliver them and He did. For there was one walking with them in the furnace who looked lke the Son of God who was Jesus and they didn’t get burned (Daniel Chapter 3). In my case I knew the Lord Jesus would get me through this trial and everything was going to be all right , it took 14 years. But those 14 years were used for preparation time for the next physical problem to come which was stage 4 prostate cancer.
During those 14 years I became a physical therapy expert, rehabbing and reading my Bible daily brought me closer to God. I remember having a cast on my foot and thinking what it would be like to workout again. The waiting time helped me to appreciate the things that we always take for granted like walking, moving your shoulder with no pain or riding a stationary bike. The toughest part of rehab was going through it after knee replacement, in order to get full range of motion the knee must constantly be worked, bent and put through a whole assortment of movements which were killers, but I had to endure the torture in order to walk right again. All through it the Lord Jesus was helping me to endure and giving me patience to get through this physical thing that I was going through. It’s hard for people to imagine but as soon as one body part was repaired or replaced another part needed attention.
As of today I am back in the gym working out 4 to 5 days a week with stage 4 prostate cancer. And sharing my testimony to all who would listen of the love and mercy that Jesus has provided for everyone through His death on the Cross and His Resurrection that He would grant eternal life to all who repent and receive Him as Lord and Savior. Through all of this I know that God is Soverign that until I fulfill His plan for my life I am here until He calls me home.
What have we learned about Todd Bentley and the false healing revival that happened last year in Lakeland Florida. Numerous, numerous lessons were learned one of which that comes straight out of the Bible from the Gospel of Mathew Chapter 24 vs 11 & 12 “And many false prophets shall rise and deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold”. These two verses capture the distinct age that we live in and say volumes of the lack of spiritual discernment in the Body of Christ and the Churches today.
A very important lesson learned of how as Christians, we must stay sharp and alert in the Word of God as a Watchman on the Wall. We must be vigilant, not let our guard down. We must stand up for the true Gospel of Christ, and speak out to warn the brethren . We must not be intimidated, we must have the boldness of the Holy Spirit to speak the truth in love and finally we need to understand the times we are living in which are filled with false Christ’s, false prophets, false teachers teaching, deception, heresy, and apostasy. If we understand the history of the false healers and false revivals we can know what to look for.
The immediate tip off about where Todd Bentley’s false healing revival was heading was to look at his associations, if you want to know about someone look at the company they keep. The key to spotting any false healer or prophet is to first check it out with scripture, if they make any reference to dreams, visions from an Angel, Divine revelations, or trips to Heaven or Hell a red flag of skepticism must be raised. Most of the people attending Bentley’s revival could not tell the difference between true and false because they were looking for an experience and were not reading the Bible to help them understand the signs of the times.
According to Bentley his heroes and his mentors included William Branham, Kenneth Hagin, Rodney Howard Browne and of course Bob Jones of the Kansas City false prophet fame. William Branham had an angel a pillar of light present in his false healing crusades and so did Todd Bentley. The angel which Bentley referred to was a demon spirit or fallen angel called Emma.
In talking about his help from a healing angel, William Branham once stated that he was unable to minister unless the angel was at his side( Occult Bondage and Deliverance, Kurt Koch pp. 49,50).
Branham and Bentley’s experience with angels of light were very similar. It is extremely important to understand the devious deception that is taking place in the Body of Christ today. The Bible tells us to test the spirits to see if they are of God, 1st John chapter 4 verse 1 states: “Beloved , believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God because many false prophets are gone out into the world”. This false healing revival is exactly what the above scripture is talking about. According to Bob Jones God told him on New Years eve in 2008 that a third wave was coming and that wave was called Winds of Change.
Latter Rain doctrine is a modern version of the classic heresy of Gnosticism, which taught that a spiritual elite possessed “hidden knowledge” of the divine realm which placed their personal revelations, spiritual experiences, and private interpretation of Scripture above the ordinary revelation of God’s Word. In Latter Rain doctrine, Pentecost was the “former rain” or outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the Church must yet receive a second Holy Spirit visitation. At this time, the Sons of God will be glorified and manifested to all as they establish the Kingdom on earth before Jesus Christ returns bodily. Latter Rain prophets are now preparing multitudes for this transformation. (Barbara Aho, The Latter Rain Revival)
Todd Bentley asked Bob Jones what was the other two waves, he said wave #1 Toronto Blessing , wave #2 Pensacola and # 3 became Todd Bentley’s false healing revival in Lakeland FL. My question is a rhetorical one; Will We Get Fooled Again? My answer simply is, we should not get fooled the next time, but some will.
ATLANTA, GA - A lawsuit filed in a California accuses Atlanta televangelist Creflo Dollar of stealing a spiritual text message business concept, then marketing the business to his worldwide audience for millions of dollars in revenue.
The lawsuit, filed by Devone Lawson of Marina del Rey, California, accuses Dollar, his son Jeremy Dollar, and other ministry staff of breach of nondisclosure agreement, fraud, unjust enrichment, civil conspiracy, breach of contract and misappropriation of trade secrets.
Starting in 2004, Lawson claims he spent a year working with Dollar’s World Changers Church International ministry on a subscription service that would send daily inspirational text messages to church members’ cell phones. In the lawsuit, Lawson claims the ministry violated a nondisclosure agreement when it eventually formed another company and launched a similar “Word On the Go” text messaging service in 2006.
Attorneys for Lawson estimate the $4.99 per month subscription service generates more than $50 million a year in revenue.
Indoctrination is the process of inculcating ideas, attitudes, cognitive strategies or a professional methodology. It is often distinguished from education by the fact that the indoctrinated person is expected not to question or critically examine the doctrine they have learned. As such it is often used pejoratively. However, instruction in the basic principles of a science, or the methodology of a profession, can also be called indoctrination, in the sense that people do not necessarily question or critically examine them. From the specific perspective of some people, like the people who don’t critically examine basic principles of a science or methodology of a profession, the word does not necessarily have negative connotations.
Religious indoctrination
Religious indoctrination refers to customary rites of passage for the indoctrination of persons into a particular religion and its extended community.
Most religious groups instruct new members in the principles of the religion; this is usually not referred to as indoctrination, because of the negative connotations the word has acquired. Mystery religions require a period of indoctrination before granting access to esoteric knowledge. (c.f. Information security)
[edit] Military indoctrination
The initial psychological preparation of soldiers during training is referred to (non-pejoratively) as indoctrination. See Recruit training.
[edit] Information security
In the field of information security, indoctrination is the initial briefing and instructions given before a person is granted access to secret information. [1]
[edit] Criticism
Noam Chomsky remarks, “For those who stubbornly seek freedom, there can be no more urgent task than to come to understand the mechanisms and practices of indoctrination. These are easy to perceive in the totalitarian societies, much less so in the system of ‘brainwashing under freedom’ to which we are subjected and which all too often we serve as willing or unwitting instruments.”[2]
Robert Jay Lifton argues[3] that the objective of phrases or slogans like “blood for oil,” or “cut and run,” is not to continue reflective conversations but to replace them with emotionally appealing phrases. This technique is called the thought-terminating cliché.
Cults use many methods of mind control that fall into 4 main categories:
Behavioural Control
Information Control
Thought Control
Emotional Control
I present 23 common methods of thought control and in later videos I will discuss how groups like the Jehovah’s Witnesses, Moonies and Hare Krishna exhibit some of these features.

The Seether songs remind me of my former “spiritual leaders” and probably mean more to me than making a statement to the viewers. Watch this before you give me too much head ache.
Tired of trying to be a prophet, avatar or visionary but can’t get anyone to blindly follow you? Have you always wanted to know how to manipulate people in the name of any deity, religion or philosophy you want to hide behind so you can advance your OWN agenda of nakedly abusing power? Look no further!
Freedom Beacon Ministries presents 4 common misconceptions Christians often have about cults. Part 1 examines the first two misconceptions. Part 2 examines two additional misconceptions in the light of Scripture.
Freedom Beacon Ministries reveals 2 more common misconceptions Christians often have about cults, in the light of Scripture. Continued from part 1.
Freedom Beacon Ministries founder speaks out on the theological definition of “cult”. Based on the two major signifiers found in 2 Corinthians 11:3, 4.
My family and I went this morning to the church we occasionally attend. It’s part of a well-known denomination and they meet in an office space with about 25 people. This Sunday they had Communion. I haven’t taken Communion in about a year. It was nice. No fanfare, no pre-offering sermon, no personal stories about the Richard Petty racing experience, hunting trips to the Yukon, McDonald’s Fillet-O-Fish sandwiches or references to an airplane that the speaker did not actually own. There was just a sermon from Psalm 24 about God’s holiness, our sin and God’s mercy toward us
I came out of the service today reminded how church is supposed to be a safe place, not a place to be preyed upon. At my old Word of Faith church they used to say “It’s a matter of life and death where you go church.” It’s true. Because of the narcissistic and exploitative leadership, the sins that went on and the disturbing culture that was developed in the church, it was death to many people in many ways.
One of the best benefits of group bloging is cross promotion.

I have been in the recovery mode for eight months now. I think I am starting to heal in some areas but I’m still hurting in others. Different people recover in different ways and lengths of time. Some people bounce right back with a smile on their face while others stay in ICU for weeks. I think my wife is healing more slowly than I am, but that is normal for most women.
I do wonder why God allowed me to stray so far off into deception. I cannot say that my decisions were based on a hunger for God, but rather a lust for having things my way and to always be in control. The Word of Faith offered me command of my life and future. So instead of being excited about Jesus, I slowly veered off into a religion that worships faith, money and power. It is the greatest seduction going on in the Body of Christ today.
Maybe God allowed me to spend 14 years in a spiritual black hole for a reason. Maybe it was so that I could relate to other people that have been crippled and abused in the Word of Faith church system. I do get dozens of emails from people all over the world that need help, healing and theological grounding. I have heard about a large church in Tulsa that has started a Word of Faith recovery group that is drawing in a lot of people. I think that that is an awesome thing. I wish that there had been a Word of Faith recovery group in the Birmingham area. I know that several hundred Christians have left Word of Faith churches in Birmingham in the last two years, and many of them will not attend church. If there is anyone out there that has escaped the Word of Faith, and needs some one to talk to, let me know. maybe we need a group here.
I’m not the only one who has doubts about what kind of truth Osteen believes. For those who think Joel Osteen and his beliefs are some how “ok,” article gotten here:
Sometimes I get confused watching these mega-church preachers.
Are they reading the same Bible I’m reading?
Do they really have an intimate relationship with the same Jesus I know?
Is the Holy Spirit actually working within them – providing the kind of discernment He promises believers?
These questions came to mind while watching Joel Osteen and his lovely wife, Victoria, on CNN’s “Larry King Live” last week.
Is this the new face of American Christianity? Is this why Jesus died on the cross and was resurrected? Is this the Good News? Or is this some other religion altogether?
Admittedly, Osteen ticked me off right out of the gate by praising Barack Obama: “Well, I think he’s doing a great job. I’m impressed with his skill, his calmness, his just strength under pressure. These are tough times for him.”
Actually, no. These aren’t tough times for Obama. He’s having the time of his life. He’s partying it up and eating $100-a-pound beef in the White House. We should all face such tough times. Maybe that’s how the mega-wealthy Osteens define tough times. But I submit to you it is the American people who are suffering – not the Obamas.
But the interview actually went downhill from there.
King pointed out that many Americans are still confused about Obama’s religion and asked, “Does it matter?”
“Well, it matters to me,” said Osteen. “It matters to me that I know he loves the Lord, and I think it’s important that he has convictions from his faith. So to me, it matters when I’m making my personal decisions.”
Mrs. Osteen weighed in, too: “It does. It matters to me. … I believe he is a Christian.”
Now, let’s stop right there for a moment of reflection.
How do we know someone else is a believer? Is someone a Christian simply because they proclaim to be one? The Bible tells us we will know them by their fruits. I wonder what fruits the Osteens are seeing that would suggest to them Obama is a Christian?
In John 14:15, Jesus explains, “If you love Me, keep my commandments.”
Now, I won’t run through all of the Ten Commandments, but let’s stick to just one – the eighth: “Thou shall not steal.”
Not only is Obama stealing wealth from Americans today, he is stealing from our grandchildren – and our great-grandchildren!
But maybe that commandment is not in the Joel Osteen New Living Translation of the Bible the Osteens were hawking on the King show.
I don’t know about you, but I would like to see some real holy men in America stand up like the prophet Nathan and hold people – and especially our leaders – accountable to the Word of God.
Is that too much to ask?
America is going down the tubes fast, and the new faces of Christianity are playing patty-cake. They’re acting like the latest self-help gurus.
We need some wisdom, and we’re just not getting it from these lukewarm pretenders.
Now, look, I don’t care if Christian pastors want to keep their heads in the sand and protect their precious 501(c)3 corporations by avoiding politics altogether, as most of them do. But when they stand up on national television and proclaim Obama is a Christian and doing a good job, I have a real problem with that.
It’s a lie.
Obama is breaking his covenant with the American people every day. That covenant is the Constitution of the United States.
The Osteens cannot even stand up for the institution of marriage without equivocating.
True followers of Jesus win converts when they show people their sin and explain the consequences of sin. They don’t soft-pedal it. They’re not afraid of offending people. We can pretend to love everyone and watch them go right to hell. That is not the kind of love my messiah showed. And it is not the kind I expect to see from ministers of the Gospel.
RedeemedHippie>>>[Mr. Farah, may I say that the reason you do not see the true gospel among most of todays' ministers, is because most are not the truth at all; but star studded idols in a star struck idolizing church. These ministers are cowards to the truth.]
I’m almost certain that my take on Kim Clement and his prophecy, will anger some people. Frankly, I don’t care. I would ask you, why are you not testing things by the Word of God? Why are you blindly following heretics and liars? Why do you make light of such prophecies when God tell us to test all things? Why oh why do you fear to even doubt these liars when God tells us in Deuteronomy to not fear them?
His prophecy can be found here, that is unless he takes it down. He is known to take his prophecies down when they don’t come true:
The Spirit of the Lord says there’s something inside of you that was placed there from the foundation of the world that drives you to shout and rejoice in the presence of your enemies.
Redeemedhippie: [Jesus says, you must be born again. IF there had been something special in us from the day we were born, would not have Jesus told us? Instead, we are told to repent. Anything that drives us, is not the Holy Spirit leading us. We are to be led forth in peace. If anything makes you feel driven, TEST IT.]
God says raise up your voice and shout my name so that I can shake the kingdoms of hell!
RedeemedHippie: [God does not need our shouts for Him to do a thing. This sounds more like something Lucifer himself would want to do; shake the kingdoms of hell?! Why not the kingdom of heaven??? Why hell? Only if hell were about to be released upon the earth, that is why!]
God says the praises of my believers is raising from the dust those who have been aborted shall live.
RedeemedHippie: [WHAT?!]
They shall be reborn at another time, but those children who have been aborted will come back with a vengeance and shall raise up hell.
RedeemedHippie: [WHAT?!]
For the powers of darkness do not know what they did. The powers of darkness did not realize what they did when they crucified the Lord on High. They did not know what they did when they killed the little children after the age of 2, one escaped, Moses, and the vengeance upon him brought the wrath of God upon Egypt.
Redeemedhippie:[No. The vengence of God was upon Egypt because they held God's people as slaves and would not let them go.]
God said those that have been killed shall come back, they shall be born in another form, they shall come back in a vengeance, they shall take stock and they shall change the laws of this nation.
RedeemedHippie: [Liar! If anything comes back it will be legions of demons being released upon the earth. Change the laws of the nation? What? Dead aborted babies come back and change the laws of the nation?! What garbage! What lies! If you are a Kim Clement follower, this alone should be enough to make you run the other way. Kim Clement is a great liar and deceiver. He is endorsing nothing short of reincarnation and Hinduism.]
Do not be concerned for God says tonight I make declaration to you my resurrection is in this place and on this nation.
RedeemedHippie>[Do not be concerned has just turned Clement's listeners to mindless robots, if they weren't before then.]
I will forgive this nation’s sin. I will restore and then adore. There will be smiles once again.
RedeemedHippie: [The judgment of God is about to come upon the earth, dear saints of God. Do not be deceived nothing less is coming. Will God forgive this nation? Why should He? Our sins are many. There is no cry of repentence throughout the land. Wickedness abounds both in the world and within the church! I will restore and then adore. What garbage! There is only one worth adoring and that is Jesus Christ, Son of the most high God! There will be smiles once again--this is so juvenile. The apostate church has been in a laughing revival for how many decades now?]
But as I hear believers say we forgive them I’ll give you more your daily bread, I will restore unto this nation. Your Will be done your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.
RedeemedHippie: Huh?
There is a sound that I will send into this place called My house. God says, he’s telling you. I will restore, I will give you the honor that you once held America.
RedeemedHippie: [There is that word again the apostate church love using; sound. Who was in charge of sound in heaven before he was cast out? Lucifer. Where is the sound going? Straight to the church.
Honor? Honor to America? I doubt it very much. As the end-times approach us--and it most certainly does--the judgement of God will be released upon ALL nations and upon ALL governments. Man is a fool to believe that it is not coming. Look at ourselves, America! Our enemies laugh at us. The man who leads this nation is a joke to those who hate us. Not to say, God is angry with this nation! And rightly so. Evil is being called good and good is being called evil. God will judge.]
God says, I will restore, I’ll not ignore the ones who stood in contempt but I will repay I will give back to this nation what they have stolen. I will restore, I will restore I’ll give back to America your former glory greater than.
RedeemedHippie:[What hogwash. What tickling of ears! America is in such debt. The Word of God says, "I will make you the tail and not the head." THIS is where we are heading. NOTE --- When they say peace and safety, sudden destruction comes. Who are the ones in contempt? Those who doubt the false prophets like Clement? Hogwash! This too is manipulation to cause you not to test a thing this man says!]
God said I’m sending to earth a sound even greater than any sound that’s ever been on the face of the earth. I’m bringing a sound to this nation that every culture will understand the language of God.
RedeemedHippie: [One may have to ask, whatgod said that? May God in heaven help us if America is going to be the nation that will lead in the sound. This is delusion on a grand scale with America leading it.]
The Spirit of the Lord says those that heard the sound, when the sound was heard they were drawn.
RedeemedHippie: [Why oh why am I reminded of Daniel chapter 3?
"Then a herald cried aloud: “To you it is commanded, O peoples, nations, and languages, that at the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, you shall fall down and worship the gold image that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up; and whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast immediately into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.” So at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the horn, flute, harp, and lyre, in symphony with all kinds of music, all the people, nations, and languages fell down and worshiped the gold image which King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
This sound the aposte church keeps talking about--is it not Lucifer preparing to set himself up as god once again as in the days of Daniel?]
There is a sound that God has that men will begin to detect. There is a sound that shall be given and when you hear that sound advance speedily. When you hear that sound advance speedily, go quickly.
RedeemedHippie:[Yes, advance speedily, just as those in Daniels' day were expected to do. *please excuse my sarcasm there* But for pete sakes, TEST THIS!]
For God said in that day of Pentecost when the sound came suddenly, speedily there was an opening from the heaven and suddenly advancing upon them were tongues of fire that rested upon every one of them.
RedeemedHippie:[On the day of Pentacost, the believers were tarrying, waiting as commanded. They were not speeding around anywhere. IF an enemy can get you to react quickly without thinking, then that enemy has manipulated you and has power over you; such as in ANY cult. Jim Jones told his people, "quickly, quickly" in taking the kool-aid.
Bride of Christ, you are to test all things. You can not do this, if you are led to move quickly by the mere voice of man. You are to listen to God and God alone. NEVER let man take His place! If you have to wait for a week, month or year, whatever... you wait upon the Lord your God. Do not be moved by man! Jesus said, "My sheep hear MY voice." Listen for His voice. Stop and even test me!]
God said are you hungry for the tongues of fire? Are you hungry for the language of God? Are you hungry for the heavens to open and for God to send something that we’ve never experienced? I don’t think you believe this but you listen to this prophet tonight.
RedeemedHippie: [Such manipulation here. Listen to the prophet? What arrogance and pride! What if, at the time, one was using their brain and sensed something was not right, would they be doomed to hell for daring to question the prophet--Kim Clement? No, but they would have been accused of being rebellious, unteachable, Jezabelle, etc. Such are the ways of cults and manipulation.
Also, look at what god is trying to get the people to appeal to. Is there any mention of holiness? No. Is there any mention of repentence? No. Is there any mention of being more like Jesus? No. Is there any mention of Jesus at all? No. It is all about having experiences.]
There is a sound coming and it’s coming speedily. When the people begin to detect that sound they shall advance speedily, they shall accelerate speedily. This sound shall be as no other sound coming down from the high place, coming down from the high ground, coming down from the mountains, coming down from the sky, coming down from the treasury of heaven.
RedeemedHippie:[Keep in mind, Lucifer is this sound. If the people move speedily, when do they ever get to test the sound? Would God be angry if you wanted to be still and test the sound? Of course not. But Lucifer would. He would accuse you before those who are following the sound. Think about it.]
The heavens are opening up and God said tonight I’m promising you that once this sound hits this nation there shall be people who have said there is no God, shall suddenly proclaim, there is a God.
RedeemdHippie:[If Lucifer is the deceiver here--and he most certainly is-- then one would have to ask, what kind of god will people suddenly be proclaiming?]
There will be those that will be healed that would never have dreamed they’d be healed. There’ll be a spontaneous flow of unusual miracles and a spontaneous flow of new sounds and new language says the Spirit of God.
RedeemedHippie:[The word of God says the man if sin (anti-christ) comes with signs and wonders.]
Get ready for a baptism like you’ve never had before, for tonight as the prophets gather together we declare come down, rise up, do what you have to do.
RedeemedHippie:[Did you catch this? It is because the prophets have gathered together that one can get to experience all Clement has said. Such vain and self-exaltation! Just like Lucifer did before God cast him out of heaven!]
I have not forgotten the covenant. I have not forgotten the covenant. The antiquity of the covenant, the ancientness of the covenant that yet represents the dream that men had for this nation. That men equal in Spirit would stand as one and worship and honor the Lord. Where are they now? Their voices cry as a reminder they have come before me as a memorial says the Spirit of God.
Redeemedhippie:[To make man a memorial before God in any way, shape or form is blasphemous. Ther is only ONE worthy of all things. That is Jesus Christ. God honoring man? I don't think so. We are to honor God. Even now, the angels in heaven are worshipping Him. Kim Clement appeals to the flesh of man. He is a false prophet.]
You are entering a time and a season of hope and restoration coming not from the politicians of Baal but coming from the prophets of God so therefore a promise has been made.
Redeemedhippie:[Can you not see this?! It is the prophets of God that bring a season of hope and restoration?! I don't think so! Our hope is in God-- not in man! Our restoration is in and through God--not in man! Kim Clement desires to be honored among men. He is a liar and a fraud. We are to depend upon GOD for our hope and restoration.]
When you hear the sound that is coming to small villages and towns, amongst the farmers and the farmyards, barnyards, farm houses, ranches where there is space. I will show signs and they will say there is life on another planet but they will not find it they will not.
RedeemedHippie:[What a wacko.]
What they will find is that there is life in another universe where Spirits of just men made perfect. A great cloud of witness surrounds this earth. They will detect the great cloud of witness. What is this that you are saying? They will detect the energy of a witness which is to be repeated on the earth. They shall see signs and they shall be on large areas of acres and acres of land. I stand in Oklahoma today and make declaration to you that they shall say that these imprints and these signs in the soil come from life on another planet and again they will have movies and books; but this time they will not be able to explain the one thing that shall be embedded in these signs shall be the cross of Calvary, says the Spirit of the Living God. They shall try and make out like it is something else within the stars and the planets but they shall not be able to take away the crown that they see, the thorns that have been pressed.—This is a sign to you. You’re wondering what does this prophet say tonight?
RedeemedHippie:[Once again he calls himself a prophet. The only thing I wonder is how in the world does he get by with this?]
He says there will be signs in the earth and they will say it’s from another planet but God says it shall be signs that I shall send and in those places there will be a habitation of angelic visitation and a habitation of angels of the Lord and there shall be swift moves of the Spirit and they shall say let us go to the lonesome place where there are very few people. For God is shaking the earth in that place. God says celebrate, rejoice for tonight I begin this in this city, I begin it in this soil in this state and it shall spread like wildfire says the Spirit of God.
RedeemedHippie:[God says to celebrate? Never once repent? I guess God has changed the gospel? God hasn't but Kim Clement has though.]
God says there’s going to be a death in 2010. It shall be called the death of debt.
Redeemedhippie:[That one's a real doozy. I will not apologise for my indignation over this false prophet. Many many people are being led astray and sometimes there is no other way to say something, than just say it. If I seem a little emotional, I am. When man starts saying "god says, god says" when God has not said-- then they are creating God in their image. I hate lies and deception! Kim clement is one of the biggest out there. His words are manipulation and witchcraft!]
The past 2 weeks have been filled with some anxiety, quite expectation and a lot of Bible reading. Waiting for test results are never fun, but the Lord has revealed to me through His Word that we are to be anxious for nothing and to rest and put all our cares on Him. Well the results are in from my latest PSA test and Praise the Lord my PSA level has gone back down to 0.21 from 0.32. My oncologist was pleased and I was jumping for joy. I started to share part of my testimony of how Jesus changed my life with my Oncologist who listened and thanked me for sharing. Living with stage IV prostate cancer is a very humbling and rewarding experience. Humbling because it keeps my view on life in the right perspective, rewarding because through it I have a opportunity to share my faith about Jesus. As the days and months go by I will always be grateful for being able to inspire someone to keep on fighting cause Jesus is our example and he never quit.
It has become clearly apparent and evident after thorough examination that the men pictured here are preaching another Jesus. Kenneth Hagain, Kenneth Copeland and Creflo Dollar have over the years built empires by teaching heresy. Lets take a look at Dad Hagin, for the life of me I could never understand why people would call him dad . It must be a Rhema thing, even when I was attending a Word of Faith Church I never considered him as the father of faith. Jesus is always the object of our faith and not man. Over the years my opinion of Kenneth Hagin has changed from benign neutrality to an extremely dangerous one. Especially after watching a video clip from Pawcreek Ministries and Joseph Chambers titled Kenneth Hagin and the Spirit of the Serpent. The clip is from a 1999 Holy Ghost meeting where a Hagin starts hissing and moving his tongue around like a serpent and people begin to slither out of their chairs like snakes all while walking around like a man who was in a drunken stupor.
Then the laughing what was that all about, I believe that he was so apostate that the laughing revivals were actually blaspheming the Holy Spirit which is the unpardonable sin.
The point that I am trying to make is this that side show was apex of Hagin’s blasphemy and God’s Judgement has been on Rhema ever since. Kenneth Hagin’s ministry from the beginning was founded on plagerism, false visions of Jesus, paranormal experiences, twisting the scriptures and lies. The Jesus he preached was one who going to make you healthy and wealthly, which was bad enough, but he taught that Jesus took on the nature of Satan on the Cross and died spiritually. This is a complete heresey and a baldface lie which Hagain plagurized from EW Kenyon along with many others. Justin Peters in his seminar Call for Discernment goes into the origin of the Word of Faith cult and it is a cult which dabbles in the occult under the teaching of Divine Revelation.
Both Kenneth Copeland and Crefalo Dollar take Word of Faith false teaching and heresy to another level. Some call it hyper faith I call it just same old lie that Satan told Adam and Eve in the Garden that they could be as gods. It is Kenneth Copeland who said the biggest failure in the Bible was God. In one of his infamous prophecies Copeland was told supposedly by Jesus that I did not claim I was God; I just claimed I walked with Him and that He was in Me.(Kenneth Copeland, Take time to pray,Believers Voice of Victory 15,2 ( Feb. 87). With his little gods teaching Crefalo Dollar has moved up the ladder in the Word of Faith anals. The teaching about being little gods is not new for Benny Hinn pushed forth this heresy years ago. Dollars spin on this teaching is amazingly sad and very blasphemous , it goes like this if horses got together they produced what? another horse. If dogs got together, they produced what? another dog. If the Godhead got together, what did they produce? and the congregation said: the Godhead produced god, therefore ye are little gods. No, no, absolutely not; God created man, in His image and likeness not to be litte gods, but to be man His highest creation subject to the Creator. God is the object of our worship, not man.
As the Apostle Paul states so clearly in II Corinthians chapter 11 vs 3 & 4 ” But I fear lest by any means as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he who comes Preaching another Jesus whom we have not Preached or if you receive another spirit, which you have not received or another gospel which you have not accepted, you might well bear with him”. The Gospel of Christ is simple, but men twist the scripture for their benefit. Paul preached Jesus Christ and Him Crucified anything else is another Jesus.
I think it was February 2005. I was hanging out in WinMX chatrooms and decided to visit some more chat rooms that I used to like to visit. So I was hanging out in the “Biggest Secret” chatroom. Then a guy named ROB REVERE popped in and asked if I have seen an audio copy of Adolf Huxley’s “A Brave New World”. I had not. BUT I had heard of the book so I went to looking, found a copy, contacted ROB and hooked him up with a copy. He had told me he was starting a Patriot/Truth movement radio network. I had just started my very first website (which is not even available on the wayback machine) and I told Rob,, hey I might want to do a radio show, and THUS STARTED MY LOVE OF DOING RADIO.
I love to study up on a topic, select accompanying topical music, and create audio clips from different sources like mixing movie quotes and jokes with music and stuff like that, kinda like a montages. And I had the pleasure of interviewing several people who are way more knowledgeable about certain things than me. It is way cool to get to interview ‘experts” in a field of study. So I have been working to get back into radio and make some entertaining yet educational radio shows,, for Jesus.
After my second show,, another host at Revere Radio Network named Sonny Crack (not his real name) asked me to do a show about how I came to know God. After thinking about it. I made this show, which was my most popular of about 50 shows, especially for another host named REX84. I was the seventh host and Rex and another host liked to call me and Rob Bible Thumpers. And Rex had said he especially hated the Christian Rock band called Stryper. So I made this show (with some Stryper included) as a sort of testimony and invitation for Rex to accept Christ as his Savior. So this radio show is basically a big part of my life,,,told with music,, and words when required. It is a story about me and my God.
DISCLAIMER: There is some cursing from myself on this radio show. It was a common thing there to get called names to get cursed out. We held open round table discussions and it got really heated many times. And since I was the guy on the network mostly giving the biblical aspect of what we talked about, I had to be tough, yet graceful,, while trying to represent the Lord at that radio network. So if you think cursing is bad under any circumstance, even when used to express emotion, you should probably not listen because I do drop a few “F BOMBS”.
Rob Revere ended up telling me that my testimony show here was one of the best radio shows he had ever heard. So I think you will find it worth the time, enjoyable, inspiring, educational and maybe even funny. I tell about some of my experiences with bi-polar/manic depression and mental hospitals. About my near death and “angel experience”. And some of the most deepest and scariest things to ever happen to me. It’s all pretty much right there on my sleeve for you to read.
THIS IS HOW JESUS RESCUED ME!!!

I have been looking the possibility that a Kundalini spirit, possible the main or head spirit, has masked itself as Christian and infiltrated many charismatic circles and is now in full operation down in Florida and has worked in past in Toronto and Brownsville. Here is a compilation of some of my findings – I think the similarities are more then coincidence – what do you think?
Serpent Power of the Awakening Kundalini:
In Hinduism there are several forms of yoga (yoking) which all have the goal of giving the practitioner cosmic consciousness and unity with God. [The origins of Kundalini Yoga (sometimes called Raja or roya Yoga) come from the form of Hinduism known as Kashmir Shavism. This form of yoga comes from the Kashmir region of India and the god these Hindus worship is Shiva. Shiva was the Hindu god represented in the movie "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom."
Hindu depiction Of A Chakra:
Wheel of spinning Energy - Kundalini Yoga "the serpent power."
Sanskrit kund, "to burn"; kunda, "to coil or to spiral": a concentrated field of intelligent, cosmic invisible energy absolutely vital to life; beginning in the base of the spine as a man or woman begins to evolve in their first incarnation; fed by the chakras along the spine and by the cosmic energy entering through the feet from the earth; as wisdom is earned in each incarnation, this electromagnetic, ultrapotent energy moves slowly upward through the spine; Kundalini is feminine polarity in nature. Sim. (Donning International Encyclopedic Psychic Dictionary, June G. Beltzer, Ph.D., p. 343).
1.Kundalini in English means "the serpent power." It is the common Hindu belief that within each person resides a "serpent" coiled tightly up at the base of the spine. Through practicing Kundalini yoga, along with chanting, mediation, and an impartation from the guru one can have their Kundalini Awakened. Kundalini Yoga is the "power yoga" of Hinduism. It is the pathway to supernatural power and godhood. Kundalini Yoga can also lead to mental collapse, psychosis, and demon possession or oppression.
2."Asian cultures have used these teachings of the Chakra System for about 4,000 years and it's only the last approx. 10 years that this information has filtered into the west. Chakra literally translated from the Hindi means 'Wheel of spinning Energy'. Within our bodies are contained seven major energy centres. They are located within the body in front of the spinal column and are aligned vertically up and down the spine. Each wheel has a colour of the rainbow and vibrates to a musical note... ." (Inner Star Magazine)
3.Kundalini is at least 1000 years old occult practice. It involves bodily manifestations as a consequence for the "awakening of an individual's Kundalini'' and is related to, for example, Qigong (a Chinese occultic tradition).
4.Kundalini energy is typically described as a powerful energy source lying dormant in the form of a coiled serpent at the base of the human spine. When freed it reputedly has the capacity to effect great physical healings. Christina and Stanislov Grof, New Age authors of the book "The Stormy Search for the Self," describe how the awakening of Kundalini energy can be triggered by an advanced spiritual teacher or guru. And how the awakening can bring up memories of past psychological traumas. The Grofs state that "individuals involved in this process might find it difficult to control their behavior; during power rushes of Kundalini energy, they often emit various involuntary sounds, and their bodies move in strange and unexpected patterns. Among the most common manifestations ... are unmotivated and unnatural laughter or crying, talking tongues ... and imitating a variety of animal sounds and movements" (p. 78-79). The Grofs state that "careful study of the manifestations of Kundalini awakening confirm that this process, although sometimes very intense and shattering, is essentially healing" (citing Warren Smith by permission in an article for Spiritual Counterfeits Project entitled "HOLY LAUGHTER or Strong Delusion" (Fall, 1994, Vol. 19.2), p. 14).

Sri Ramakrishna - An Indian saint
(Kundalini Yoga Guru)
[1836-1886]
Sri Ramakrishna, [1836-1886] represents the very core of the spiritual realizations of the seers and sages of India. “He daily went into ’samahdi,’ a trance in which one involuntarily falls down unconscious and enters a rapturous state of super-conscious bliss (ananda), complete with beautiful visions and often involving astral projection. These states could last anywhere from a few minutes to several days and were often accompanied by uncontrollable laughter or weeping. He could send others into this state with a single touch to the head or chest” (unpublished article by John Rice on file at SPIRITUAL COUNTERFEITS PROJECT), (citing Warren Smith by permission in an article for Spiritual Counterfeits Project entitled “HOLY LAUGHTER or Strong Delusion”, Fall, 1994, Vol. 19.2)

Swami Muktananda – (Kundalini Yoga Guru)
Swami Muktananda (1908-1982) began living as a sadhu, a mendicant in search of spiritual fulfillment, at an unusually early age. Though as a young man he gained renown for his yogic attainments, Swami Muktananda often said that his spiritual journey didn’t truly begin until 1947, when he received shaktipat, spiritual initiation, from the holy man Bhagawan Nityananda. It was then that his spiritual energy, kundalini, was awakened and he was drawn into profound states of meditation. In the 1970s, on his guru’s behalf, Swami Muktananda brought the venerable tradition of his master’s lineage to the West, giving the previously little-known shaktipat initiation he himself had received to untold thousands of spiritual seekers. Before his death, in 1982, Swami Muktananda wrote many books; sixteen are still in print. He also established more than six hundred meditation centers and several ashrams around the world. His work, through the auspices of the Siddha Yoga Dham Associates (SYDA) Foundation, is carried on by his spiritual heir, Swami Chidvilasananda. He was the disciple of Nityananda and in 1947 he received his impartation of power from Nityananda. Nityananda was called Gurudev and was seen as a Jivan-Mutki or liberated one, and thus worthy of worship as a god. This too is what Muktananda became to millions.
What to expect in Swami Muktananda revival meeting compared with what we see in the Florida Healing Revival:
“I understood nothing about the various experiences such as the vision of dissolution and the radiant light that had come to me on the first day. Only afterwards did I learn that they were all part of a process pertaining to shaktipat (the divine power-touch of the guru). Shaktipat is simply another name for the full grace of the supreme guru. This as the awakening process of the kundalini – the serpent-like energy the yogis believe is curled at the base of the spine. And its rising upwards can only be handled by a well-initiated adept, driving most people irretrievably mad should they even get a mild taste of it. Sometimes I would jump and hope like a frog, and sometimes my limbs would shake violently as though shaken by a deity. The goddess of consciousness, and was shaking me with his inner shatki (power). Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh – (Kundalini Yoga Guru)
11 Dec. 1931 – 19 Jan. 1990
1.Osho, formerly often referred to as Rejneeshism, was founded by Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh (1931-1990). He was born Rajneesh Chandra Mohan in Kuchwara, a town in central India. One source states that “Bhagwan” means “God” and that “Shree” means “Master”. He was raised in the Jainism faith as a child. He received “samadhi” (enlightenment in which his soul became one with the universe) on 21 March 1953 at the age of 21. At its peak, they had about 200,000 members and 600 centers around the world.
2.His followers practiced meditation, chanting, naturism, primal screaming, extreme forms of violent exercise, shouting a mantra, and free love. These were expected to lead the individual to overcome repression, lower their personal inhibitions, develop a “state of emptiness”, and attain enlightenment. Although most members lived a frugal, simple lifestyle, Rajneesh himself lived in luxury. His collection 27 Rolls Royces, given to him by his followers, was well known. He taught a form of Monism, that God was in everything and everyone. There is no division between “God” and “not-God”. People, even at their worse, are divine. Rajneesh, had a huge following. His goal was to release godhood on a large scale and have his disciples infiltrate the world.
3.By merely appearing to his disciples they would begin to weep and laugh uncontrollably, they would dance, hop, and pass out just by his presence.
4.”Rajneesh slowly moved to his throne, his hands in the namaste prayer position, as he pivoted slowly to face his entire audience. The hush was electric. One could just feel the guards psychically trying to control the surges passing across the audience… Rajneesh’s body was a glove covering a naked force…I felt it with an intensity…It did have a supernatural consciousness–but its origins and flavor were well disguised from this adoring and desperate throng.” (Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, “Dance Your Way To God” pg. 92)
5.”A bolt of electricity passing through his body. Passing from one person to the next, moving around the circle, coming back to him. The group began shaking violently. It was as if they were all possessed, taken over by a powerful impersonal energy.” (Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, “Dance Your Way To God” pg. 148)
6.”Suddenly her body was shaking, she was screaming. Somendra was moving around her – touching her on the back of her neck, on the chest, on the belly. As he’d touch her, his hands vibrating with energy, the part of her body where he touched her would begin shaking more violently. Shaking, screaming, crying – she became a dynamo of energy…she was on fire, from the opposite corner they could feel her energy.” (Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, “Dance Your Way To God” pg. 149)
7.”Many of his Sannyasins would fall to the floor in ecstasy after their encounters with Rajneesh.”
8.”just be joyful … God is not serious … this world cannot fit with a theological god … so let this be your constant reminder – that you have to dance your way to God, to laugh your way to God” (Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, “Dance Your Way To God” pg. 229)
9.”Bahgvan’s spiritual “wine” was often passed along with a single touch to the head.”

But don’t question, and don’t argue, and don’t ask, and don’t try to devise and to plan it out but just follow the prompting of the leading of the Spirit of God and, oh, great and wonderful things shall be done, for God will move in diverse ways and with diverse anointings in these last days.” According to the August Charisma article, Rodney Howard-Browne “disparages” people who “try to apply theological tests” to what he does (SPIRITUAL COUNTERFEITS PROJECT article).
RAJNEESH: “drunk on the divine”
RODNEY HOWARD-BROWNE: “We’re drinking of that new wine. It’s the wine that is divine.”

The occult practice of Kundalini [energy] and the Florida Healing Revival experience are compared. It is disturbing to note how the at least 1000-years old Kundalini and the contemporary Florida Healing Revival movement are almost identical in at least the following aspects:
1.the both involve the very same bodily manifestations
2.the both are distributed by a touch from one already “in fire”
3.the phenomena being very contagious.
4.the bodily manifestations are the very same.
5.the genuineness of the experience is based on identical proofs.
6.the both require the same initial mental conditions for one receiving the power
7.the both consider the transfer of the power to be a central issue and subject to scientific considerations
The Similarity of the Outward Manifestations
Shaktipat means “the descent of power (literally: kundalini)’”. The most common form of shaktipat is a touch by the guru on the individual’s forehead. This is exactly the method that is used greatly to impart the “anointing”, for example by Todd Bentley and Rodney Howard-Browne. This is also the most common way to receive the power.
The Contagiousness of the Phenomena
There is no doubt that shakti is contagious. The mere presence of a single being whose shakti is strongly active can awaken the shakti of those around him. Similarly being in the presence of many people whose shakti is awakened to some degree can awaken one’s own shakti.
The “anointing” is known to be contagious by nature and easily transferred from one to another. John Arnott compared it to a “spiritual virus”.
It also spreads from men to men in macro scale (between towns) and occasionally regionally even in smaller scale (in the midst of a meeting, for example when the members of a group of people keeping another’s by hand fall simultaneously).
The Distributors of the Power
“Anyone on fire” can give shaktipat, i.e. anyone who’s kundalini is already awakened. The more relevant question is: “Who should give shaktipat?”…
Who can give Shakti-pat?: anyone who has received the ability from the guru or one of his disciples.
Who can administer the “anointing”: anyone who has received it from a person already “anointed”
How one receives Kundalini Awakening: Through the laying-on-of-hands during “Shakti-pat” initiation
How one receives this “”anointing””: Through the laying-on-of hands called an impartation by someone.
The Similarity of the Goal
KundaliniKriyas, literally “activities”, are spontaneous movements that occur after kundalini awakening. These include bodily activities such as trembling, shaking and spontaneous yoga postures; vocal activities such as yelling, or spontaneous chanting and mental activities such as visions. These kriyas eliminate the blocks to kundalini rising within the spine or central channel.
The common explanation for the “kriyas” happening in Toronto Blessing meetings is that the God is doing some inward work on the people’s lives and that it results in the outward manifestations.
Also, more generally, that the touch of the power from God results in the manifestations.
So we see that the supposed purpose and reason for the manifestations is — below the surface of religious terms — exactly the same.
The Similarity of the Requirements for a Receiver
The unique perspective of Siddha Mahayoga is that because kundalini is an intelligent force it will, upon awakening, naturally direct the practice of the student. All that is required is that the student completely surrender to this force. As a result of kundalini’s unfoldment spontaneous purifying movements, called kriyas will occur…
In Florida Healing Revival the receiver is asked to surrender to the “power of the Holy Spirit” and to receive the good work (”purifying kriyas”) without questioning. So this is exactly the same initial condition that is required for the awakening of kundalini.
This topic came up for me while I was visiting another blog. Once I compiled my response I thought it would be good to put something up here.
I believe the topic of prayer is a biggie, especially in the charismatic (manic) camps. Many have gotten away from teaching and practicing prayer as Jesus did, swapping it out for decreeing, declaring, speaking things into existence, claiming our words have the power to create and cause things to happen.
These methods sound good to us, but I believe they are wrong, even dangerous, not found in the bible, nor taught or practiced by Jesus! They appeal to our flesh, that part of us that says, “I want, I get”. That, stamped with an elevated sense of authority and power, and the result is nothing short of a Christian practising witchcraft.
Most of the time, this prayer simply does not work. It catches a lot of attention, it brings in lots of cash, creating fame and fortune for it’s claimers. I’ve been in more than a few conversations with other believers on this. Usually, once this is practiced and found be be worthless, we can often fall into the trap of comparing ourselves with them, “the blessed”, thinking that God does not love us as much as they as they seem to be, or at least claim to be receiving blessing upon blessing and prosperity. From then on, there is a loss of faith.
More often than not, the blessing, the prosperity claimed to be “from God” is really from man; many faithful and deceived followers of man, giving of their own time, money and resources. Ungodly means, ungodly gains. There is a difference.
So, how did Jesus pray? When asked by His disciples He taught them what we refer to as the Lord’s prayer. We are to ask the Father for the things we need.
Luke 11:2 So He said to then, “When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. You will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
3 “Give us this day our daily bread.
4 “And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
At verse 5, Jesus begins explaining the concept of “ask, seek, knock”; what will be given is done so out of persistence.
9 “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened.
10 “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
In Matthew 6:9-13 the prayer is repeated, adding these words in the latter part of verse 13 for Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
So there we have it – prayer by Jesus, God in human flesh acknowledging Our Father God who is in heaven, His kingdom, His will, asking for the things most important – food, forgiveness, deliverance of evil things, again acknowledging His kingdom and His power and glory. No proud, rude, loud, declaring, decreeing going on there!
Who are we to command God?
The following point is made in the article Word Curses, but it is important and fits this discussion.
Oftentimes we hear this scripture quoted to support the idea that our words have power. It’s only a fragment of a scripture, twisted and completely taken out of its meaning. You will recognize – “call things that are not as though they were”. This claim is a twist on Romans 4:16-17, with the emphasis solely on the latter part of verse 17-
16 Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the law but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all. 17 As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.” He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were.
Power belongs to God and to Him alone and that is what this verse is getting at. It is God who calls these things, not people. It was God who spoke the planets into existence, not Adam.
So, for whatever you need, ask, seek, knock and it will be given. It is the promise of the Father. And if what you are asking for doesn’t come, continue to wait and to ask, be disciplined! Don’t give up and don’t sell out for this method of prayer that is sinful, wicked Christian witchcraft!
Mark 11:23 “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”
